The place we had our wedding was amazing.  We wish we would have had the dance longer and everything a little longer, just so we could take it all in.  I guess that is probably how weddings go, but it was an amazing place.  We loved Azul Sensatori also.  We should have stayed there a few days after everyone left, just to enjoy it without everyone around. – Kai and Jasmine

What made you decide on having a destination wedding?
I love the beach and I wanted to do something non-traditional, which everyone could enjoy and remember for years to come!

What made you decide on the destination, venue?

We decided on Mexico with the help of our travel agent – Leigh Ann. I had a few choices in mind (Bahamas and St. Thomas) but I was totally open as long as it was a BEACH. Leigh Ann presented me with the Azul Sensatori and she spoke from experience…which was helpful…then I saw her slide presentation and I was sold..  It  was very affordable for what we wanted to do and it was kid-friendly which was very important to us. The fact that it was a GI all-inclusive hotel was the icing on the cake!

What was the biggest difficulty in planning your destination wedding?
The biggest challenge was choosing places at the resort for the wedding and reception activities and not having been there myself, trusting that the resort venues looked like the pictures  online. It was safe to say that everything looked just like the online pictures…even better in person!
What was the highlight of the experience and what was the biggest surprise?
The highlight was that the hotel looked EXACTLY like the pictures (that is a big thing for me). It was a hidden oasis. And my biggest surprise was that I had a stress-free wedding!
How well was the resort and your Wedding Coordinator to work with?
The resort was wonderful, they catered to all our needs and did not miss a beat. Any issues they were on top of it.  I was impresses at how well prepared they are for weddings. I was led to believe that the details in the wedding were very broad, based on the pictures on the Lomas, for example I requested bright bold tropical flowers… but I was able to pick the exact color I wanted which was awesome. They were prompt and on time and did everything they said they would do
What is your advice to future brides?
I highly recommend letting the spa do your hair and make-up. I was unsure of what hairstyle I wanted and had just decided to “wing it”. The ladies presented me with a  book of hairstyles to choose from and the stylist went to work and made me look awesome! I even had a hair /makeup rehearsal the day before the wedding to see what I liked and didn’t like. Overall it is well worth it to let them do what they do best…. And that is less you have to pack 😉
Was there anything that you would change looking back?
We would definitely have stayed longer…it was just a good trip and a beautiful resort and our families LOVED it
